ESTELLE MEY
Folk roots | Punk fire | Voice-driven
Estelle Mey creates music from the voice first.
Everything else grows from there.
Her work blends folk roots, punk and metal energy and modern sound tools.
She mixes the ancient resonance of the hurdy-gurdy with electronic textures and distortion, moving naturally between quiet, intimate moments and raw, explosive ones.

Her sound moves through primal rhythms, ancestral echoes, gritty punk energy
and layered, glitched textures.
Influences range from Björk and Heilung to Sepultura and Nine Inch Nails
all blending into a single, evolving journey.
Live, these elements come together as one continuous flow,
guided by the voice and shaped in the moment.
Estelle creates spaces where old sounds meet new ideas.
With her self-made shamanic drum and a voice rooted in the body,
each piece feels alive and physical.
Some Past Achievements
Releases including The Key, Late, and Snake (from the Storm collection) have been played on BBC Radio 1 Future Alternative, Radio X and Planet Rock.
What’s Next?
Her current work is slower, more exploratory and rooted in process.
Woodchant is an evolving project ecploring the ''magic of the world'' combining music,
visuals, experiments and writings guided by ancestral echoes and curiosity.
She shares her creative path as it unfolds, grounded in folk traditions and open to the unknown.
At the same time, Lilith, soon released, in the Storm collection leans into her punk and metal side,
with raw industrial textures and phonk-inspired glitches.
All of this belongs to a wider journey: one of voice, craft, raw energy and becoming.
