ESTELLE MEY
Folk roots | Punk fire | Voice-driven

Estelle Mey is a voice alchemist and sound weaver, growing music, art, and sonic experiments in creative soil made of Folk roots, & Neo-folk, Punk & Metal fire, and future tech.

Blending the ancient resonance of her hurdy-gurdy with electronic textures, molten distortion, ,she forges raw, immersive experiences that move between the intimate and the explosive.

Her music isn’t confined by genre — it’s led by the voice, shaped by instinct, and open to constant exploration.

Estelle’s work shifts from primal rhythms and ancestral echoes to gritty punk energy and layered, glitched-out soundscapes. Her sound is inspired by a wide range of artists and movements, from the atmospheric depths of Björk and ritual intensity of Heilung, to the heavy punch of Sepultura and industrial edge of Nine Inch Nails.

Whether through live performance, sonic rituals or experimental recordings, she creates a space where old sounds and new ideas come together. With her self-made shamanic drum, voice-driven approach, and bold curiosity, every piece feels

alive and unfiltered.

PAST ACHIEVEMENTS:

Releases like THE KEY, LATE, and SNAKE (part of her Storm collection) have caught the attention of BBC1 Future Alternative, Radio X, and Planet Rock.

WHAT'S NEXT?

  • Her current work focuses on process and exploration. WOODCHANTS merges music, handmade visuals, and sound experiments — guided by ancestral echoes and curiosity for new tools. She shares her creative path as she walks it, rooted in folk traditions and open to the unknown.

  • On the other hand, LILITH, the next Storm collection release, dives deeper into her fiery punk/metal energy, with raw industrial sounds and phonk-inspired glitches.

All of this is part of a wider journey — one of voice, craft, raw power, and constant becoming

Now this is a real face melter and exactly what we need, perfect, a shot in the arm at this time of the day!Someone described this artist as PJ Harvey into Sepultura, you'll know what I mean when I play it ”
