Turning the crank of her hurdy-gurdy like a spinning wheel, Estelle Mey threads together live vocals, frame drums and and drones into a unique style of hypnotic and atmospheric Neo-Folk.
Drawing from her roots in the wilderness of Ardèche and refined through time spent in Iceland and Great Britain, she has crafted a raw and immersive soundscape grounded in nature and myth.
Her sound bridges ancient lore with modern edge, involving Gaulish pieces adapted from 2,000-year-old inscriptions and using electronics to translate plant signals.
